HomeBridge students have the unique opportunity to register for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), one of the most prestigious international award programmes for students aged 14 years and above. The awards programme was founded in the United Kingdom in 1956 by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and since expanded to 144 nations, encouraging and motivating young people to become involved in a set of voluntary self-development activities.

Participants design their own programme based on the dimensions of Physical Recreation, Skills, Voluntary Service and Adventurous Journey (explorations and expeditions). The Award has three progressive stages: Bronze, Silver, and Gold, each having a set of requirements to fulfil.

This is a life-changing experience and a valuable tool to develop essential skills for life and work. It is a recognised mark of achievement that is highly respected by universities and employers across the world.
