Hybrid Learning

Hybrid learning combines the best of online and on-campus education, and is an affordable and accessible solution that aims to create equal admission opportunities for students from all walks of life, no matter where they may be.

A study by the Research Institute of America suggests that online learning increases information retention rate by 60%. In fact, students can learn material 5 times faster in an online setting.

Our hybrid programme offers a highly flexible learning experience that may not be possible in a traditional campus setting, and provides students the opportunity to balance their educational commitments while managing home, and perhaps a part-time career. The online education system ensures student access to international standard education even in the absence of a physical school in their area. The programme also allows Matric students to join the A Levels programme, provided they meet the admission criteria.

Benefits of Digital Learning

Comfortable Learning Environment

The virtual classroom allows you to study in the comfort of your own home, where you are in charge of the environment, and can control it to maximize productivity and learning.

Flexible

A primary advantage of online classrooms is their flexibility. Students can work on their assignments any time of the day, and can access all their classes from any location with internet connectivity.

Cost Effective
The  hybrid programme at Homebridge is highly cost-effective, with significant reduction in commute cost for students. The absence of overhead expenses in an online setting means increased affordability and access.
Reduced Environmental Impact

A number of factors contribute to the sustainability of the Homebridge hybrid model. It makes optimal use of already available infrastructure, resources and systems, reducing pollution and emissions from transportation, decreasing consumption of energy and water, less paper waste that saves trees, and reduction in plastic and food waste.

Safe & Secure

The academic journey of Homebridge students is based on the flipped classroom  methodology, a type of blended learning where students are introduced to content at home and practice working through it at school. This is the reverse of the more common practice of introducing new content at school, then assigning homework and projects to completed by the students independently at home.

Benefits of A Levels

A Levels are internationally recognised qualifications required for entry into many university courses and professional training opportunities, hence providing international educational and career prospects for students.

UK’s gold standard for university entry

An A Levels qualification should be your first priority if you aim to go to university in the UK. Although UK universities do accept other entrance qualifications, the admissions system is geared towards A levels. With A levels you do not have to take foundation courses – you can go straight to your degree.

Prepare you for top universities worldwide

One of the reasons many international students take A levels is because it’s the best way to prepare for university. They are a great introduction to the study habits required by competitive universities as they inculcate reason based critique and evaluation.

International education and qualifications like the A Levels are sought after for competitive advantage in local universities. Students with an A Level, are specially given preference in internationally affiliated programmes at Pakistani universities.

Diverse yet specialised

The range of A Level subjects is vast, both in the sciences and the humanities. However, each subject is dealt with in considerable detail and depth. Typically, A Level students find their initial university courses easier to deal with, as compared to students coming from other educational backgrounds.

Helps improve English language skills

Students who study for A Levels in the UK before starting their degree programme, gain a key advantage – superior English language skills. A Levels don’t just prepare you for university; the nurturing environment of Homebridge is complemented with enrichment programmes to ensure you get the most from the experience.

Employers preferred

While A levels are important for admission to university, they also provide advantages later on. A levels – and the grade achieved – are widely recognised by employers around the world. A strong set of A level results, combined with your degree, will help you stand out from other candidates. This is a great way to demonstrate consistent performance and your ability to meet international standards of excellence.

Given these benefits, it’s not surprising that A levels for international students are becoming increasingly popular. As one of the best ways to make the transition from school to university, they are an ideal way to prepare yourself for a successful future.

Bringing Together the Matriculation and A Level streams

The hybrid A Levels programme aims to create equal admission opportunities for students from all walks of life, no matter where they may be in the Gulf. It aims to provide affordable and accessible education to students.

Homebridge welcomes students from the O Levels and matriculation streams. We are cognizant of the fact that both these examination systems have different educational pedagogies. To facilitate matriculation students, Homebridge has devised an extensive induction workshop where our subject teachers schedule weekly review classes to align and support learning.

Flipped Classroom

The A Level hybrid learning programme at Homebridge offers diverse learning tools for a holistic and well-integrated experience.

The virtual classroom is driven by Instructor-led Learning, similar to a physical class setting, where instructors and students interact in real time, through lectures, discussions and class engagement. The complete content of these classes is then made available for ready online access.

Instructor-led Learning is complemented by Self-paced Learning, which gives students the opportunity to choose their own study time and material. This includes a video bank of 3000 pre-recorded lectures by some of Region’s best A Level teacher, along with supplementary support material, assignments, and a rich library of course-related content.

Advantages of Instructor-led Learning

  • Immediate, real-time support for students’ questions and queries

  • The ability to mould class instruction according to the learning needs of a particular group of students

Advantages of Self-paced Learning

  • Higher levels of temporal flexibility, that makes learning more accessible to students from diverse backgrounds

  • Accessibility to a wide range of learning material

  • Increased cognitive engagement, since students will have more time to explore the course material

  • Ability to deliver high quality learning, complemented by digital tools that help facilitate the learning process

Homebridge Opens Doors To Foreign Universities

A Levels are recognised by employers and universities alike as the ‘gold standard’ of British secondary education. Good A Level results are likely to secure entry to the best universities, not just in the UK and USA, but across the world.

AS Level is a stand alone qualification in all subjects in its own right, as well as being the first half of an A Level.  Depending on the entry requirements of the university to which you apply, an AS can add breadth to your A Level qualifications.
